Personal Experience Using Liveworksheets Website

Using the Liveworksheets Website with my Classes

Three plus years ago, due to the emergency situation to prevent the spread of Covid-19, schools in Barbados switched to online learning. It was during this time that I was introduced to the Liveworksheets platform, and I have been using it with my classes from then until now.

Over the three-year period, my students have been exposed to liveworksheets based on every subject found on the primary school curriculum, including Arts and Craft and Music

The liveworksheets links are easily embedded into Google Classroom (the classroom management software that I use) so it is time and labour saving to provide tasks for the students on an ongoing basis.

In addition,  they are useful as formative assessment tools which cater to varying needs and abilities. As such, the students complete interactive tasks at the individual, group or whole-class level.

I have created a number of liveworksheets tasks and assignments using the easy to follow video tutorials provided by the website.

When students complete their assignments and they click 'Submit', their scores will immediately appear.  I have found that with many of my students, this immediate feedback provides them with increased motivation to continue making attempts in their study.

In addition, they (and their parents) are able to communicate with me online at various times through comments that are sent and received via Google Classroom.

The following are examples of the online interaction.

In conclusion, the Liveworksheets online platform provides both students and teachers with interactive worksheets with many advantages, inter alia, easy accessibility, formative assessment tools, interactive task types and flexibility.

Its benefits far outweigh any shortcomings it may have.  Once used appropriately, students and teachers can benefit significantly from the academic website Liveworksheets.com.

  1. Like you, I first encountered Liveworksheets during the Covid pandemic. I was forced to become acquainted with it rather quickly. However, it proved to be quite useful. Your review, as well as your "Pros and Cons" section were quite explanatory. Some of them I could align with from my experience, while you made me aware of the others.
